Michelle R. Davis, M. Ed.

Ms. Davis is an experienced special educator, leader and teacher trainer with over a decade of experience in public school systems and expertise in learning, attention, and behavior disorders.  She is a skilled advocate who seeks to secure services and school placements that meet individual needs and prepare children for success in life.  At James Madison and Johns Hopkins Universities, she was awarded with honors and earned recognition for excellence in study.  Ms. Davis has been recognized as an outstanding special educator and behavioral specialist with practical experience in program design and instruction of students who have been identified with ADHD, learning disabilities, Asperger Syndrome, autism, emotional disabilities, neurological impairments and gifted/talented abilities.Ms. Davis and her colleague Rich Weinfeld are authors of a new self-help book on parent advocacy.

 

 

Amy B. Bounce, MA

Educational Consultant

Ms. Mounce, an experienced special educator, university instructor and educator trainer, offers expertise in both theory and practice. As a teacher in public and private institutions, she has worked collaboratively with families and educators, using quantitative and qualitative inputs, to create educational programs that meet the needs of individual students. Ms. Mounce has earned a Master's degree in Learning Disabilities from Teachers College, Columbia University, a bachelors degree in Elementary Education from American University and currently pursues a doctorate in Special Education and Master’s in Educational Administration.

 

 

Revanette Gilmore, MA

Educational Consultant

Revanette Gilmore is an experienced Special Educator, school administrator and program developer with close to 25 years of experience. Ms Gilmore has a Master's Degree in Rehabilitative Counseling and an undergraduate degree in Special Education with a minor in Psychology. She has worked in non-public schools as a Special Educator, Diagnostic Prescriptive Teacher, Asst. Principal, Principal and Education Director. Ms. Gilmore is devoted to maximizing the potential in all children and has spent endless hours working with staff, children and families to achieve this goal. She believes a multidisciplinary team approach is the key to ensuring that children receive an optimal learning experince in their school environment.

 

 

Dr. Michelle Klink

Qualified Tutor

Dr. Klink graduated with honors in Interpersonal Communication with a focus in psychology, earned a Master's degree in Communication Theory and Research from the nation's top ranked College of Communication, Florida State University, and holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership. Dr. Klink completed pre- and post-doctoral fellowships at the Edward Zigler Center in Child Development & Social Policy, Yale School of Medicine, Yale University. Dr. Klink has conducted reading research at the National Center for Reading Research and has also taught a series of courses to pre-service teachers (i.e., education majors), communication courses such as public speaking, group dynamics, and contemporary rhetoric, as well as social science courses such as macroeconomics.  

 

Eric A. Levine, Ed. D.

Educational Consultant

Dr. Levine is an experienced special educator, staff trainer, university professor, school administrator and program developer with over twenty years experience working with children with disabilities.  He has earned his doctorate in Educational Leadership at The George Washington University.  He as worked in both public and private special education programs throughout his career.  He has specials in developing programs and services for children with multiple disabilities in a variety of settings.  He is known for being innovative in his approach to identifying services that meet the needs of children in a way that permits children to best utilize their strengths and abilities.  Dr. Levine is a strong advocate for children and their families and believes in a collaborative approach to solving problems that permits children to be successful in school.

 

Jody Tuohey, M. Ed.

Educational Consultant

Ms. Tuohey is a skilled special educator specializing in the areas of learning and attention who has extensive applied experience in meeting the needs of students with a wide range of exceptionalities.  She is an experienced educational diagnostician, and is proficient in assisting parents and educators in understanding and implementing special education procedures from referral to assessment to eligibility to IEP development, including services and placement.  As an educational consultant with classroom-based experience, Ms. Tuohey assists multidisciplinary teams in development of IEPs that effectively drive student progress and instructional interventions.
